DIY: Rustic napkins

THH Difficulty Level: images-e1542928244330.pngimages-e1542928244330.png

What you’ll need:

–  Cut out your napkin. I made mine 18×18 inches and with 1m of fabric I was able to make four napkins (linen, handloom would work best to remove thread)

–  a pin

–  sewing machine

–  a pair of scissors

–  patience (removing the threads individually was very trying)!

Method:

  1. Take one piece of fabric and run it through the sewing machine, leaving an inch gap on all sides.
  2. Take a safety pin and start removing the threads from each side to form a fringe. Stop as soon as you reach the stitch. If required you can trim the fringe using a pair of scissors.
  3. Repeat on other fabrics.

Tip: To keep the fringe in tact, it’s best to hand-wash the napkins once soiled.
